In episode 0002 of my podcast Me Time!, I talk about ways to look cute at the gym while working out. We all need a little motivation to get to the gym, especially first thing in the morning. And I get motivated by looking cute!
I know you think I sound shallow, but we all know we perform best when we look our best.
My fitness trainer, Lola Knights from Fuel Your Fitness, developed my personalized workout routine, and I just follow her schedule without wasting time thinking about what machine to use next. Now it’s just up to me to get myself up and out the door to the gym.
So here are my top three ways to look cute at the gym so I can focus on rocking my workout.
I find pulling my hair up into a ponytail or bun gives me the best look during my workouts. That way, I don’t have to worry about my hair getting caught in the machines. And I won’t waste time flipping it out of my face. Also, try pulling your hair into a french braid down your back for a fun, polished look.
I tend to lick my lips a lot when I am concentrating hard (like when I’m trying to hit that last rep). By wearing lip gloss or nude lipstick, I don’t feel the urge to do that as much. Try LimeLight by Alcone’s Signature Lip Gloss for a perfect formula that isn’t sticky and will last until the last rep.
Pro Tip: Licking your lips actually dries out your lips even more. So if you’re in the habit like I am, stop it. 🙂 Swipe on some gloss and kick the habit.
This is my favorite tip! Choose your workout outfit in advance, and be sure to color coordinate. Nothing feels more cute and pulled together than rocking well styled workout apparel. Yes, that means getting rid of the holey sweats from your ex.
Plus, I window shop for my next outfit as motivation to hit my goals. I choose an outfit in my goal size, and when I hit that goal, I reward myself by purchasing it!
That’s it! I love working out; it gives me a great chance to focus, to think, and to relieve some stress. But I need a push to get going sometimes. By looking cute at the gym, I can change my mindset to feeling great about my early morning sweat-fest.
